This UI/UX project focuses on creating a user-friendly and engaging online platform.

Background

​Petal –​​

brand that blends the wisdom of ayurveda with modern beauty solutions, offering plant-based, ayurvedic serums designed to nurture and enhance the skin and hair.

Petal is on a mission to create a beauty experience that connects users to the natural world, bringing the power of ancient healing traditions.

Design Challenge​​

How

can Petal effectively educate users about the importance of a skin and hair care routine, the benefits of key ingredients, and the plant-based nature of its products?

What

are the best ways to communicate how these natural, ayurvedic ingredients work for their skin and hair?

Who

Users aged 18 to 55, How to educate users about serums and how it is beneficial on different skin type.

What I Accomplished

An end-to-end Website and mobile app​ 

It's part social network, part habit tracker, all about helping people better understand their skin/hair and making shopping easy. ​

Discovered how human psychology affects people's ability (or inability) to trust online brands

Meet Anura,
A young college student, she is studious and hardworking, with little time for skincare or hair care. Recently, she's been experiencing dry skin and some hair fall due to stress. Her makeup also feels flaky. She’s looking for an easy, fast solution for her skin without spending too much money.
Pain Points:
Little money to spend and cannot risk using fake products. assurance is needed.
No time for lengthy skincare routines.
Uncertainty about skin type.
Preference for a doctor's recommendation without spending too much money.
Goals:
Need a quick solution for the skin.
Require motivation or reward points to stay engaged and interested.
Need a budget estimate for the products.

Meet Hitesh,
A young hustler who's always focused on building his career. He also likes gym and maintaining his physics.

He doesn't have time for skincare or hair care. He thinks serums are high-maintenance, time-consuming, and even a bit too feminine to consider. However, he's open to giving them a try if it's convincing enough.
Pain Points:
Do not know what works for him
Want solution for his frizzy hair

Goals: 
Something that can scan his hair and give him a detailed report.
Anything works if it helps his frizzy hair.

Meet Harsha,
Attractive and social media-savvy, Harsha loves taking care of her body and is very particular about her diet. She often follows many influencers on different social media platforms for beauty and health care tips. She wants something that is plant-based and naturally curated. However, she's afraid of fake Ayurvedic products that might turn out to be ineffective. She also worries that they could irritate her eczema and sensitive skin. She has been consulting a dermatologist and have researched alot.
Pain Points:

Fake or underwhelming, ineffective products leave her feeling dissatisfied.

She feels frustrated if the ingredient information is insufficient.

She prefers having access to large product catalogs.

Goals:

Looking for more knowledge about ingredients that work best for her sensitive skin.

Does not like body quizzes, as she already knows her skin type.

Due to her old age, she is experiencing hair loss and depends on her grandchildren to help her buy hair oil. Serums are a new concept for her, which she wants to explore
Pain Points:
Not comfortable with technology, totally dependent.
 
Goals:
Wants an easy interface that she can also use
